A source close to the coward rival chief of Adoagyiri Barima Adu Korkor who was installed by the Okyehene through his violent and aggressive group of thugs-Okyeman task force-on Saturday 19th August 2023, has told afropolitanonline.com that the chief has sought refuge in Kyebi the state capital of Akyem Abuakwa.

The source indicated that the Akyem Abuakwa Overlord Okyehene Amoatia Ofori Panin advised the disgruntled and disillusioned chief Barima Adu Korkor to leave Adoagyiri immediately after the crude installation to save his head and those of his collaborators from attacks.

Barima Adu Korkor is being coached on how to conduct himself as a chief by courtiers of Ofori Panin fie-Okyehene’s Palace- whilst writers of the palace are busily preparing speeches and press statements for him to read as and when the times are appropriate for them according to the source.

Barima Adu Korkor II is the henchman of the Okyehene with whom he is disposed to cooperate over the sale of lands in Adoagyiri.

The unlawful and forceful takeover of Adoagyiri lands over the last seven years is at the root of the tensions and violent clashes in the area.

The Okyehene is said to have promised Barima Adu Korkor of a 24 hour protection by Police force from Accra with additional support of the thugs from his violent Okyeman task force.
