The Member of Parliament for Akim Oda constituency, Honorable Alexander Akwasi Acquah yesterday paid an amount of one hundred thousand cedis to the management of Kotoku Royals as part of efforts towards the construction of the Oda sports stadium.

The eastern side qualified to the premier league after defeating Tema Youth on 12th June 2022. However the team’s quest to upgrade their stadium to host home games has been bedeviled with challenges including lack of funds.

The team has since been forced to choose the Cape Coast Sports Stadium to host their games, a move which hasn’t inured to its benefits as supporters have failed to travel the long distance from the eastern region to the central region whenever they play their counterparts.

It is hoped that the eastern side Kotoku Royals may be able to host their home matches at the Oda Sports Stadium after the world cup as contractors have been resourced to speed up the construction.
