In every group, members share different and varied views on matters of concern or under consideration. However, the case is different when it comes to the NDC on investigations into the circumstances of the death of President John Evans Atta-Mills.

NDC faithful are always quick to stand together and oppose any form of investigations into the exact circumstances leading to the death of President John Evans Atta Mills. They will make all the noise and describe any investigative move with unprintable words and take stance unimaginable anytime someone calls for investigations.

They tend to forget that  president Atta- Mills was a national asset; the first gentleman of Ghana at the time of his death and that it’s only fair, reasonable and appropriate that the good people of our dear country be made to know the circumstances leading to his death and what eventually ended his dear life.

Felix Ofosu-Kwakye former deputy communication minister of the past NDC government has described the proposed inquest tabled by the Honorable Annor Dompreh and his colleagues in Parliament last week in a way that beats the imaginations of some concerned Ghanaians: “The NPP MPs’ motion for an inquest into the death of President Mills is complete and utter nonsense”.

Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary of the NDC, quizzed in part, the rationale behind the inquest on Accra based Joy fm: “… Is it the case that the doctors have suggested something fishy which needs to be investigated?”

The lone voice among the NDC faithful who proposed an inquest ten years ago and has welcomed the current inquest into the death of President Mills is Koku Anyidoho former deputy General Secretary of the NDC and a confidante of the late President.

The circumstances that preceded the death of the president Johns Evans Atta Mills have been talked about for years and have been a matter of public concern. The NDC brushed over the requests by some citizens for inquiry when it was in office and it is still opposed to that inquiry in all forms and manner.

What is the NDC hiding? Was a crime committed? Did President Mills die of natural causes?  Why does the NDC always stand against any attempt to investigate the circumstances of the death of President Mills?- Jeffery Jones
