The beautiful Adoagyiri town which is nestled amongst dark ash curvaceous mountains has its own chief Nana Okonadwo Afutu Dompre II who has been gazetted by the National and Regional Houses of Chiefs for the past seventeen years. This step by the Okyehene is to create factionalism and insecurity in the area.

Reason Behind the Dark Move
There have been attempts, ever since Nana Akuffo Addo became President of Ghana, by Akyem Abuakwah traditional council to sell lands in Adoagyiri and its environs. The move by the Okyehene which from time to time, resulted in casualties infuriated the chief of Adoagyiri who took the matter to the Regional and National Houses of Chiefs.
After lengthy deliberations, judgments from the courts came in favor of the Adoagyirihene. The judgments have since infuriated the Okyehene Amoatia Ofori Panin who has vowed to use governmental power to unleash hell and brimstones on Adoagyirihene and make the inhabitants of Adoagyiri and its environs live in fear.
His first dark move after the judgment was to create the Okyeman Environmental Task Force. The task force which is full of thugs armed with military grade weapons, with an office in Nsawam, is a veiled effort to paint favorable portraits of the group’s activities to ordinary minds as though it protects the environment.
However, our checks have revealed that the group has been mandated to sell and protect lands in Adoagyiri and its environs using unorthodox means.
When the Okyeman Environmental Task Force was met with an equally powerful force organized by Adoagyirihene, the Okyehene revised his tactics and with the support from the Presidency and connivance of some sections of the Adoagyirihene’s family, is seeking to install a rival chief at Adoagyiri. This enterprise of the Okyehene is to legitimize his dark moves of trying to extend his control beyond his traditional borders which action, in the olden days, would have been basis for starting a war.
Adoagyirihene is head of the Adonten division of Kotoku kingdom and has since 1860 paid homage to the Kotokuhene and installing a rival chief who would pay homage to Okyehene would make Adoagyiri part of Akyem Abuakwa.
In a press conference sighted by afropolitanoline.com, Nkwantahene Nana Dwamena Akenteng briefed the media about the history of Adoagyiri. He further indicated their resolve to resist any incursion into Adoagyiri lands and oppose any attempt to install a rival chief in Adoagyiri.
Meanwhile the security services have been informed of Okyehene’s resolve to install a rival chief in Adoagyiri and Okoanadwo Dompreh the substantive chief and his Asafo company are preparing in earnest to see as to whether the said installation ceremony of a rival chief would be called off or come off on Saturday 25th February 2023 as planned by Okyehene Amoatia Ofori Panin.
