PRO ALAN GROUPS LACE BOOTS FOR ADURO WOSO HEALTH WALK;SAY: “NO PRESSURE CAN PUT OUT THE FIRE”.

As Pro Alan groups organize to embark on the much publicized Health Walk slated for Saturday 13^th August in Kumasi, many are the orchestrations and manipulations by powerful New Patriotic Party stalwarts to suspend the event.

The Health Walk which has made sensational headlines in the media has put much pressure on the equally resourced factions-Pro Dr Bawumia groups-who hitherto the event had painted an attractive picture to the Party and the nation at large that Ashanti Region was for their man-Dr Bawumia.

Even with just two days to go, some Party executives who are in bed with the Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia continue to pull strings behind the scenes to halt the event.

This morning on Sompa Fm, monitored by afropolitanonline.com, National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Henry Nana Boakye in an interview with Omanhene the host of the morning program sought to deploy an old circular penned by John Boadu, former General Secretary of the Party to call on organizers of the Aduro Wo So Health Walk to cease and desist from embarking on the event until such time the Party opens nominations for the presidential primaries. Henry Nana Boakye’s fear was that the Health Walk will give an undue advantage to the fortunes of Alan Kyeremanteng a leading contender in the upcoming Presidential primaries.

Nonetheless, some leaders of the Pro Alan groups, Ohemaa Nana Dokua, Kwadwo Korankye alias Yellow Man, Abraham Boadi, alias Opooman, Kofi Adinkra, Fiifi Ofori-Atta etc have taken a stand that they are wholly opposed to an any attempt by National Party Executives to halt the event.

In an interview with afropolitanonline.com, Kwadwo Korankye hinted, “That circular cannot bar Pro Alan groups from embarking on the Health Walk as we are composed of ordinary Party faithful and not executives or delegates. Mr. Amoah an ardent supporter of the Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng, on the other hand stated:      “ Aduro Woso Health Walk will come off  as planned. No pressure can put out the fire”.
