For close to a decade now , Akyem Abuakwa State actors have been encroaching on Adoagyiri lands; selling large tracts of lands to private developers whilst at the same appropriating large swathes of lands at prized locations to themselves for future development.
The situation has created tensions in Adoagyiri and its adjoining towns as Abuakwa land guards who are seen wielding military grade weapons have been reported as the agents selling farm lands of Adoagyiri natives to rich men and women with business interests to use for their various enterprises.
The development has disrupted the peace and security in Adoagyiri and its environs as frequent clashes between the indigenes and Akyem Abuakwa thugs have resulted in bodily wounds and sometimes even deaths of innocent inhabitants of Adoagyiri.
The King of Akyem Abuakwa, Okyehene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin whose thugs have been whitewashed as Akyem Abuakwa land task forces operate with impunity as government security personnel in Nsawan Adoagyiri watch helplessly for fear of receiving reprisals from the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akuffo-Addo an Akyem Abuakwa native and some of its bigwigs in the ruling NPP government.

Following the murder of one Kwame Sarkodie, a member of the Adoagyiri Royal Family almost a week ago, the Akyem Abuakwa mafias have resolved to use the case as a launch pad to frighten the inhabitants of Adoagyiri and its adjoining towns and give color to their relentless efforts towards sustaining the attacks on the beautiful industrial Kotoku territory by staging a demonstration in Adoagyiri over the murder.
One would ask: “How does the murder of the Adoagyiri royal affect Akyem Abuakwa?” The answer is, it backs a faction within the family and intends to forcefully install one as a rival chief in Adoagyiri who would be used do their bidding. The intended demonstration scheduled to take place on 9th August 2023 is a tactical psychological warfare aimed at causing tensions in the territory and registering fear and panic in the minds of the good people of Adoagyiri.
The Nsawan Adoagyiri Police Command has been informed of Abuakwa state actors’ resolve to demonstrate in Adoagyiri in a letter sighted by afropolitanonline.com. However, what the organizers of the demonstration don’t know, is the Kotokus have also resolved to stop that demonstration and preserve the peace in Adoagyiri and its adjoining towns through every means possible.
